City of Perth - StartupWA's Major City Partner 2018-2020
The City of Perth has been a long-time supporter of the startup community, including events like Startup Weekend and WestTechFest, plus initiatives such as the original Startup Ecosystem Map and related reports.
Recognising the crucial role that startups and digital technologies play in creating the digital jobs and innovations of the future, we are proud to announce a three-year partnership between the City of Perth and StartupWA.
The WA Startup Ecosystem Development project capitalises on existing resources, relationships and City of Perth strategy to focus local support on enabling the global success of Perth-based ventures. The project is strongly aligned with City of Perth Economic Development Strategy and the City's new Serious Business Move campaign.
Spacecubed - Perth's Innovation, Startup and Coworking Hub
Spacecubed is a social enterprise whose purpose is to influence positive change through the community. Their vision is to empower and connect 100,000 businesses and changemakers by 2025. Based in Perth CBD, they offer tailored spaces - FLUX and Riff, host events for startup community members of all backgrounds, experience and interests. Spacecubed supports programs such as the Plus Eight accelerator (in partnership with muru-D) and a curated community for small businesses, sole traders, corporates and entrepreneurs.
Spacecubed continues to play an integral role in the evolution of WA's startup community. On behalf of its members and programs, StartupWA values their contribution to shaping the digital economy and are proud to recognise Spacecubed as another of our founding Partners.
