What Is a StartupWA Affiliate?
An Affiliate is an organisation that shares StartupWA’s vision and values, and helps support, connect and grow WA’s tech startup ecosystem. Affiliates help shape policy, bring expertise, host communities and introduce fresh energy to the startup ecosystem.
Why Become an Affiliate?
As a StartupWA Affiliate, you:
Amplify your impact - add your voice to the collective startup community, shaping policy and strategy for tech and innovation in WA.
Gain recognition - be featured on StartupWA’s website, reports and channels as a supporter of innovation.
Engage in policy - access priority invitations to discussions, consultations, and working groups.
Promote your initiatives - highlight your events, programs and opportunities through StartupWA’s network.

What We Expect from Our Affiliates
To ensure strong alignment and partnership, we ask Affiliates to:
Commit to StartupWA’s vision and values.
Share periodic updates about your organisation (reach, membership, audience etc.).
Contribute at least one delegate per year to participate in policy or strategic discussions in areas of your expertise.
Support and amplify StartupWA's messaging (events, reports, and policy initiatives).
Give permission for your name, logo and basic contact details to appear on StartupWA's affiliate listings.
Affiliate Eligibility
To qualify as a StartupWA Affiliate, your organisation should typically:
Be involved in tech, innovation, entrepreneurship or related ecosystem support (eg. meetups, coworking spaces, accelerators, advisory/investor networks etc.)
Operate or have representatives or activities in Western Australia (or intend to)
Focus on digital or technology innovation, research commercialisation or startup-oriented programming

Even if Affiliate status isn’t the right fit yet, you can still participate:
Become a Delegate - individuals with expertise from non-Affiliate organisations can still contribute.
Partner with us - if you prefer project-based or financial/in-kind contributions, our Partners program may suit you.
